Reem's perspective:
After a moment of silence he decided to respond. He brushed his hair with his left hand and kept playing with his blackberry.
Mayed: " It depends on my mood."
All I could say was 'oh'. I felt dumb by asking him a silly question but I was curious. My phone rang in my hand and immediatly I picked it up without looking at the caller.
Me; " Alo..haih..la dont worry I'm ok...inshallah now we are coming. Bye."
I closed the call and informed Mayed that we have to get back because they are worried.
Narrator's perspective:
Everyone went to sleep except for Reem. She kept thinking about Mayed which was odd for her to actually think about someone especially a guy. His words kept repeating in her mind nonestop, she kept wondering if what he said was true or not. Reem got up from bed, grabbed her blackberry then got dressed and got out. She had no idea where she is going, at the end she ended up sitting in the lobby reading a book.
....: " Excuse me."
She looked up and gasped.
Reem: " Bsmila enta sho tba mny now? Listen Nasser I'm seriously not in the mood for neither your games nor you."
Nasser: " Can I have a seat? I wanna tell you something."
Reem: " I dont want to hear anything from you now please go away. Can't you see I'm busy."
Nasser: " No trust me it's important."
Reem: " But I dont trust you."
She raised a brow at him.
Nasser: " Whatever I dont care. The thing that I'm about to tell you is that. Ana e5o Shamsa I think t3arfeenha anyways she told me to flirt with you w do things wyach. She wants Mayed your cousin, she kept threating me and so I agreed."
Reem kept quite it was as if her lips were sealed or locked. Her brain went blank from all the confusion and bewilderment. Slowly she began getting what he was saying and from being surprised she went mad.
Reem: " How many times should I repeat saying that I and Mayed are not even togeher. Ana mayhmny if she want him let her take him. 5ala9 3ad fkoony!!"
Nasser: " Reem calm down people are staring at us. 3aib."
Reem: " I dont care! She will keep sending people w madri sho w tbany I fall for them la ya 7abeeby I'm not a toy 3sab chi tsawy fyh!!!"
She let out all her anger just like when a volcano erupts. She went silent and breathed heavily. Sick people she kept repeating in her head.
Nasser: " I'm sorry what I didn't mean to do that but she was threating me."
Reem: " Threating you ? With what?"
Nasser: " I don't want to say it but I will. She said if I didn't obey to her plans she will tell everyone that ana a7ibch."
Reem's perspective:
WHAT!! Wait maybe I heard it wrong, who am I kidding everything was clear. Nasser loves me? I dont believe it! How can his sister do that to her own brother!! What kind of a creature is she?
Nasser: " I know that you are surprised, you didnt expect me to say that. It's the truth Reem, I really love you, in school I watch talk with your friends. I never knew that I would love you but I did. I couldn't complete what I was doing hours ago because you're going to hate me and I couldn't let that happen. I'm sorry."
I felt like hugging him. Wait what am I saying! I shoved that thought out of my mind. I really don't know what to reply, now he will think I'm deaf.
Me: " It's ok Nasser no need to appologize. It isn't your fault and you did the right thing by telling me the truth."
He smiled at me. Poor Nasser, his sister won't get away with this. First she talks rudely with Elyazyh, makes up story about Mayed and then she uses her brother for her plan. I looked at my watch and realized it was getting late and I have to sleep.
Me: " I'm sorry Nasser but I have to go."
Nasser: " La 3adi. Let me take you to your room."
Me: " Its ok I know my way. Maba ata3bk wyay."
Nasser: " Laa laa mashay yallah inseer."
How nice of him even though I denied he still wants to take me. We arrived our level and then I reached out for my card in my pocket.
Me: " Thank you for telling me the trutth. I'm really sorry for being rude and judging you before knowing the story."
Nasser: " La 3adi, you have all the rights to get mad at me because of what I did. Anyhow good night and take care. Hope we meet up soon."
We smiled at each other than said our farewells. I went to sleep peacfully without assuming a thing.

Chapter 21 - Unbreakable
Reem’s perspective:
Finally we reached Four season hotel which is in Beverely hills. The hotel was absolutely amazing and beautiful. We got out of the car and proceeded to the lobby. I kept looking at my phone every now and then while Elyazyh was looking at me curious to know what’s going on through my mind I sighed heavily as my eyes caught someone beside the door entering. I quickly sat up strait as my heart kept pounding against my chest interrupting my thoughts. I removed my gaze from him to find Mayed watching me from the corner of his eyes.
I whispered to Elyazyh and told her to follow me to the girls restroom.
Me: “ Look at the text. From where did Nasser took my phone number ? Don’t tell me you gave him.”
I raised an brow at her.
Elyazyh: “ Why would I give him I’m not that stupid. I’m just inquisitive to know how did he get your number. Do you want me to tell Ma-”
Before she continues I immediately cut her off.
Me: “ Don’t even think about it. Do you want him to chop his head off.”
Elyazyh: “ As you like but if he found out don’t come running to me. Mayed is smart if he wants to find out something he will in seconds.”
I leaned my back against the wall, thinking of what to do. Should I tell him or not?
Elyazyh: “ Come on lets head outside 3sab ma yshkoon.”
When we got out I found Mayed staring at me as fear began building up inside of me. I made myself talk to Elyazyh in order not make any eyes contacts with him.
Mom: “ Come on girls let go to our rooms, the others just left. Come on boys were waiting.”
Mom kept talking to them while I was still in my own world figuring what is the right thing for me to do. I was like a statue that’s been surrounded with people in a museum.
Mom: “ Reem? Honey what do you want to do tomorrow? We decided to go shopping what do you think?”
Me: “ Umm..uh..Ya that’s great.”
She winked at me then looked at Mayed whom was standing beside me and smiled. What was that?
Mom: “ Well my lovely ones we just arrived our level here you go your room’s cards. See you later and have fun.”
We headed to our room’s and the best part I mean worst part, is that our room’s are just beside each other.
Elyazyh: “ This sucks 3ndna body guards right beside us.”
Me: “ Tell me about it. By the way I have decided we get rest then go down by the pool since were not going out anywhere.”
She agreed. We started unpacking our bags as we played the music and began dancing while doing it. Time passed by so fast that we didn’t even notice that we decided to go to the pool. I rushed to the bathroom and changed to a yellow summer dress, rainbow slippers, my hat and applied a simple make up on. Elyazyh went for a pink long dress with a brown belt and a brown scarf then applied some make up on. We grabbed our bags and got out.
Finally some fresh air and peace. I laid my head on the chair and put my headphones on and blasted the music.
Elyazyh’s perspective:
I checked my phone to find Khalifa informing me that he and my brother are coming down to swim. I was about to nudge Reem’s shoulder but then I found Nasser sitting at a corner sipping his juice and glanced at me. He took of his sun glasses, winked at me and smiled then put them on. What the hell is he doing?!
Me: “ Ay enty gooly for your stalker to stop doing what he is doing.”
She took off her headphones and kept looking around until she saw him.
Reem: “ You know what I’ll end this right now right here. I need some answers from did he got my number. I’m not going to sit around doing nothing.”
I grabbed her arm and pulled her back to her seat. This girl is gone crazy!
Me: “ What are you doing? Now Khalifa w Mayed are coming down any minute and if they saw you you’re getting in trouble.”
Reem: “ Baseer akalma w I don’t care etha shafoony. This person is pissing me off.”
Before I could call her, she disappeared Oh God please don’t let anything bad happens. Now what will I declare if they came? Ugh Reem do you have to do this in public? Ever heard of something call a phone call?!
Mayed’s perspective:
After a long wait for Khalifa to be ready we arrived. While we were walking I caught someone wearing a yellow dress talking to the same guy I bumped into in the plane. As we became closer I found out it was Reem. What is she doing with that chalb?
Khalifa: “ Agoolk Mayood mb chanh hay Reemo? Why is she talking to a stranger?”
Me: “ Lets go to them.”
He nodded and we walked faster this time.
Reem’s perspective:
He is getting on my nerves, he just want to play around with me. But sorry you wont get away with it.
Me: “For the hundredth time from where did you get my number? Who gave it to you?”
He got up from his chair approaching closer to me, I took a step back.
Me: “ Don’t come nearer and don’t you dare touch me.”
Nasser: “ 7abeebty why do you care from where I got it. Aham shay is that I got you”
Me: “ HAHA you made me laugh I don’t give a damn about you just back off. Players and their games!”
He was about to grab my arm in annoyance but someone came and pushed his arm away. I looked up to find Khalifa.
Nasser: “ Haa ento el body guards malha that’s brilliant. None of you can stop me you get that Meera.”
Me: “ Go to hell!”
He walked away laughing.
Khalifa: “ Mno hatha Reem? Your dating someone here?”
Me: “ Leave me I don’t want to explain the same thing again.”
He yelled my name in rage and I froze. Tears filled my eyes but I kept walking until I reached my place.
Elyazyh: “ T3aly 7abeebti.”
I hugged her tight not listening to their arguments while she set aside calming me down.
Mayed: “ Reem come with me I would like to speak to you.”
I glimpsed up at him, wiped my tears away with a hankie and grabbed my phone. I was calm the whole time and kept following him wherever he went. He took me far away from everyone and told me to have a seat opposite to him.
Mayed: “ Well then explain to me what you did out there.”
I sighed and fixed my gaze placed on the ground at the same time as I told him the whole story. I even showed him the text.
Mayed: “ Ill have a talk with him and end this thing. Ya wailch lo klamty again I’m warning you.”
Reem: “ Inshallah..Mayed I’m scared that he might do something.”
Mayed: “ Like what?”
Reem: “ I don’t know I’m just worried.”
Mayed: “ Don’t worry nothing will happen trust me.”
I smiled in relief. Everything is revealed so I don’t have to be anxious about anything right?
Reem: “ Mayed I want to ask you a question if you don’t mind.”
Mayed: “ Feel free to ask me anything.”
Reem: “ Why are you so atypical with me? I mean like you are cool and fun with me but with others you are constantly serious and quiet. When no one is around but me you act all unusual like you’re not Mayed that I know.”

Chapter 20 - Unbreakable
Reem's perspective:
They were still staring at each other however I was stuck between them like a statue. After what seems hours to me, Nasser spoke breaking this awkward moment. He looked down at me like some kind of kid and he's my father.
Nasser: " Hatha mno Meera?"
I was about to reply but Mayed answered him angrily.
Mayed: " May59k!'
Nasser: " The question was asked to her not you so its better for you to be quiet."
I could feel Mayed getting heated for his hands turned into a fist ready to punch him right in the face.
Me: " He's my cousin, sorry but we have to go."
He glanced at me then back to Mayed and left while Mayed passed by me and returned to his seat. What kept on going on my mind was what will Mayed and Nasser think about me? I didn't do something wrong or bad am I right? I just stopped the conversation it's not like we will meet again, I think. I sat back in my seat not knowing what to do or what to say but eventually I will have to talk to Mayed about it so he won't assume wrong about me.
Me: "Mayed he's the one that was speaking to me in the shop but don't worry nothing happened between us."
Mayed: " Did he gave you his number?"
I swallowed hard, I couldn't move it was like my muscles were put on pause. Did he saw him when he gave me the number? But it can't be because no one was around. Shall I say the truth or make up a lie. The problem is that what if he found out I will be the one getting in trouble not Nasser. I sighed and let everything out.
Me: " He did and he told me to call him if I wanted something."
He wasn't surprised it was like he knew what I was going to do.
Mayed: " Why did you take it?"
Me: " I don't know but I didn't want to be rude and say take it back."
Now he was shocked. Did what I say was wrong?
Mayed: " So you wanted the number, I didn't expect this from you Reem."
Me: " You don't understand."
Mayed: " Then explain please."
Me: " It's not like I will call him, he's a player min shakla w ana mb mtfayja for their games."
I took the paper from my bag with his number on it and gave him proudly. To let him know that I don't care.
Me: " Now you have his number bs 3sab t3arf that at the end it will be thrown in the trash and not in my phone."
Mayed: " Good. Don't ever take numbers min shbaab w etha they talk to you la tsaweelhm salfeh. Klhm 5yaas don't let anyone fool you."
Me: " Don't worry."
It was a long way to reach our destination. I chatted with Elyazyh most of the time and watched movies. I told her what happened and she was paralyzed and kept jumping for no reason. After what seemed days for us we finally arrived. We were so thrilled and excited. Finally L.A BABY!!!!
We got out from the airport and headed to the car which is going to take us to the hotel. I and Elyazyh were really excited that we kept irritating are parents to go out starting from today. We don’t want to waste any day doing nothing.
Khalifa: " Mb lazim t6l3oon elyoom just now we landed here lets get rest and tomorrow we will go wain ma tboon."
We both agreed. Everyone was exhausted and silence was surrounding this dead atmosphere. As I laid my head on Elyazyh’s shoulder my phone vibrated in my pocket. I quickly grabbed it then looked at my screen to find a message from a weird number.
"Hey Meera, hope I didn’t bother you but it seems that we will be neighbors from now on. Cant wait!"
My heart accelerated in a high speed as I was checking out the surrounding to find him. I saw a car behind us and saw someone familiar. He showed me his phone and said “Call me”.
I immediately sat back down and shut my mouth not to spill anything out until we arrive the hotel safely.
